  • Bystander CPR is performed in only 40% of cases nationwide. Without CPR, brain death can begin within 4–6 minutes.

  • 350,000+ people suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in the U.S. each year. Yet only 10% survive — largely due to delays in response, CPR, or defibrillation.

  • Every minute without CPR or defibrillation reduces a person’s chance of survival by 7–10%. Early action saves lives — immediate CPR can keep oxygen flowing to the brain and vital organs.

  • Performing CPR right away can double or even triple a person’s chances of surviving a cardiac arrest that happens outside of a hospital.
