Who We Are

The Piedmont Medic One Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives by improving pre-hospital emergency care in the Piedmont region of Virginia. Our vision is that no one dies from a treatable medical emergency. Within those boundaries, the organization develops and supports the following programs: 1/ world-class paramedic training, 2/ innovative research and special projects, 3/ grants to EMS agencies to provide lifesaving tools and equipment, 4/ CPR/AED & first aid training for the general population, and 5/ an EMT scholarship program to promote careers in the EMS field. Why does this matter? “When you have six minutes to live or die, training, research, and medical oversight count.”
