Our Programs
At Piedmont Medic One Foundation, our programs are designed to strengthen the entire emergency response system in Fauquier, Rappahannock, Culpeper, Orange, Clarke and Madison Counties. From funding advanced paramedic training and supporting new EMTs, to equipping local departments with lifesaving tools and providing CPR courses to the community, every initiative reflects our mission: ensuring timely, skilled care when it matters most. By investing in education, innovation, and resources, we help create a stronger, more prepared network of responders—neighbors helping neighbors.
CPR/AED & First Aid Training
When every second counts, bystander action can save lives. We make CPR, AED, and First Aid training accessible to individuals, schools, businesses, and civic groups across Fauquier County. Courses are affordable, hands-on, and led by experienced instructors. Participants leave confident in their ability to recognize emergencies, take quick action, and support first responders until professional help arrives. Together, we are building a community where more people are ready to step in and make a difference.
The first step to becoming a paramedic begins with becoming an EMT. Our EMT Scholarship Program removes financial barriers by covering tuition, books, and exam fees, so passionate individuals can focus on training instead of costs. We prioritize applicants from rural and underserved areas where the need is greatest. Each scholarship represents more than education—it’s an investment in building the workforce that will answer tomorrow’s 911 calls. EMT Scholarship Program
Paramedic Training
We invest in the next generation of highly skilled paramedics by providing scholarships for rigorous, university-affiliated programs. This training equips EMTs with advanced clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and the confidence to respond in the most critical emergencies. Scholarship recipients commit to serving in our local communities after graduation—ensuring that the investment not only strengthens individuals but also the health and safety of Fauquier County for years to come.
Research Grants
We are committed to advancing emergency medicine through local research and innovation. By supporting studies on cardiac arrest survival, trauma outcomes, and emerging technologies such as telehealth in the field, we help drive improvements that save lives. Our grants foster collaboration between EMS providers, hospitals, and universities, positioning Fauquier County at the forefront of evidence-based emergency care.
EMS Equipment Grants
Having the right tools can mean the difference between life and death. Through our EMS Equipment Grants, we provide matching funds for critical resources such as defibrillators, radios, and airway management equipment. We especially focus on rural and under-resourced departments, where budgets are tight but needs are urgent. By placing modern, lifesaving equipment in the hands of local responders, we ensure they can deliver the highest standard of care in every call.
